MEETING MINUTES for July 11, 2007
Meeting called to order at 8:22 AM.

Minutes of June 6, 2007 were approved.
Old Business
Pan Mass Challenge Status. Bob repeated that he met with the event leader and showed him the areas of our concern and arranged for our committee as needed to become Pan-Mass volunteers. As a result, we will get T-shirts, and be on 3 key sites in Eastham for the August 5 event. It is expected that the busiest hour in Eastham will be 8-10:30 AM. Eastham Police cover the crossings at Old Orchard, Brackett and Nauset Roads. It was agreed that we need to have two of our people on Old Orchard to advise people NOT to enter the tunnel in the wrong direction. We would also be at other areas where needed.
Bob will also complete the paper work to get the Bikeways Committee members T-shirts and registered as PMC Volunteers.
New Business
Brush Cutting The Non-Resident Tax Payers association requested some brush cutting on the CCRT between Orchard and Brackett roads. In response, Dave Maynard reported on a discussion he had with Danny O’Brien concerning requests to clear brush on the trail. Bob was going to contact CCRT management to request removal before the PMC ride as they will be using this section of the trail. As a back-up, several Bikeways Committee members said they could volunteer to do the job as need to complete the cutting before PMC weekend.
Election of Officers. The new officers’ terms for the Bikeways Committee start in September. The following were nominated for election at our August meeting:
Chair Judy Parmelee – subject to Judy’s approval as she was not present.
Vice Chair This is an open position until December. Last year, we did the same thing and it gave us an opportunity to appraise the interest of the new member that will be join our committee.

Still Need to locate a bike rack for Town Hall.
